HMI Steel Entry Doors

Posted by kodak2 (My Page) on

We finally finished our interior renovations of our house and we now want to change our front entry door. We have a steel door and want to replace it. We looked at HMI doors. Does anyone have this brand or know anything about them? Are steel doors better than fiberglass? We live about 2 blocks from water and we will also have a storm door. Any ideas or recommendations? Thanks.

Solid company.

They make some nice stuff and will make stuff that nobody else will.

+1. I personally prefer fiberglass, but they each (fg vs steel) have pros and cons. Both are good choices when built by a solid company.

RE: HMI Steel Entry Doors

HMI make one of the most solid doors on the market ; both steel and fiberglass. keep in mind the quality of all their doors are a thousand times better in both quality and engineering than anything sold at home depot or Lowes. dont let the cheap prices at home depor or lowes fool you. they are cheap for a reason.
