We are shopping for 23 double hung replacement windows for our 22yr old home. We have looked at Marvin and Pella Proline, both aluminum clad. We are thinking that full window replacements (down to the 2 x 4s would be the best option.) This week we looked at a cellular PVC window. They look just like wood and are not the cheap vinyl look. I have studied all of the numbers (U Factor, AL, DP, etc., warranties, and done quite a bit of research. I would appreciate hearing from some window folks out there that know more than I do!!
