Are you settled on vinyl as a material choice?

Not necessarily, although we weren't planning to do the whole house right now so that would leave us with a mix of materials in one room.

I would start with what material you want and like first and we can help you narrow it down from there.

I've been off doing more homework and we will need to continue with vinyl. If we were to change to wood, the homeowner's association would make us do the whole house and we were hoping to split the project over a couple of years due to the cost. Plus I have 6 arched, fixed pane windows and I gather that doing them in wood will be much more expensive than doing them in vinyl. So vinyl it will need to be.

You are going to need to either have a window that is made locally (i.e. at altitude) or a window that has capillary tubes/breathers in them.

I am unfortunately not as familiar with the West Coast offerings.

I think Sunrise was out that way and their Restoration window is a great performer.
