I would like to replace the windows in my sunroom we have large gliders now, and will probably do the same in order to keep costs down. One of the windows will be changed to a sliding door so that we can get to our patio.

I started by setting up appointments with Pella and Renewal by Andersen, because their names are so familiar and they offer what seems to be great financing. However, after reading comments here, I am worried about going with them. I haven't met with them yet and haven't seen their products.

I want a high quality vinyl window and door. I don't want the hassles of up-keep anymore. We live in New England and really only use the sun-room in better weather. But I still want the windows to not 'cheapen' the look of the house.

Where do I start? How do I find a reputable installer? What quality vinyl window do you recommend? I've read that people recommend Marvin and Okna?
