The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals based in Chicago rejected a proposed settlement in the case. The Court suggested that the settlement smacks of attorney self-interest as opposed to benefiting the victimized class members (who are the folks who were harmed by their purchase of the Pella Proline series). The opinion suggests that the attorney had many conflict of interests that prevented him from advocating for the interests of the window owners.
