Budget windows for a rental property?

I need to replace 11 old aluminum SH windows in a rental property I own in the Houston area.
I really don't have a ton of money to spend but the current windows are just awful and really need replacing.

I will not be able to replace all at once so I am hoping to find a window that will still be available over the next couple of years.

The house is in an area of older homes that is experiencing a building boom-when we do sell it I am sure that it will be torn down for the lot. The windows won't need a lifetime warranty or anything.

Any recommendations for a budget window available in the Houston area?

Also if I am replacing just 2 or 3 at a time should I call a window outfit or should I look into a handyman service?

You will have a hard time finding a really good contractor that sells a quality window to do 2-3 at a clip. The logistics associated with a 2-3 window job are just about as hard as a 20 window job.

You can call around but you would be better served to try to do them in larger chunks if possible.

Remember, going cheap, is usually more expensive.
