What about 'Custom' doors?

found a site that has a wide selection of doors - no prices - asked for a quote so we will see-- but has anyone tried something like this? using a custom door, instead of a major brand manufacturer? the company we found is ...

Agree, 99% of the time a custom door cost about double the cost of a standard door. Sometimes you got to do it though.

We got a custom door because of the size of the opening. If we had gone with big manufacturer, it would have been major reworking the opening with sidelights and fill. I don't recall any of the specifics, except that it wasn't significantly more expensive than all the modifications we would have to do, and this way we got what we wanted, too.
