Haven't used them personally but they seem to be well received by folks that have used them.

Nothing to technologically intensive about the application and it should work fine.

I found them on-line, and my builder thinks they look good, just cannot find any reviews.

They aren't re-inventing the wheel so you should be fine.

From what I remember they are very pricey, I would consider a traditional vinyl hopper. You could add obscure or rain glass with grids to mimic the look or even go with standard glass block.

I agree with Todd's advice. No sense in paying a premium for a glass block "look", unless you really love it.
