Replacing a window with stucco

Hi all,

Just looking for some extra opinions about replacing windows and stucco. I have a garden window (replacing with slider) and a sliding glass door that has wood trim flush with the opening (pictures below). All three vendors so far have recommended Milgard Tuscany.

Two of the three vendors want to remove stucco and replace with nail-on. The other would just cut away the garden window so the leftover frame is flush with the stucco and do Z-bar.

Someone else recommended I avoid touching the stucco at all. My painter prefers this but she recommended one of the vendors and said they do great stucco patching. The patching would add about $2k to the labor.

I've read some of the previous posts and interestingly, there doesn't seem to be a strong opinion here. I'm not particularly fussy about the look, just need some new windows. :)

Thanks very much!
