Which brand of honeycomb shades?

Hi all,

I really need honeycomb shades for a couple of rooms in our new house. I want ones that go inside the casing. We have beautiful detail on the framing around the windows. Hunter Douglas shades are being quoted at about $800 per window, installed. The windows are about 4' by 6'.

What other brands are worth checking out? $800 per window seems rather outrageous!

it really depends on what shade style you are looking at. The brands we use are Skandia and OceanView. Shades that size range from $100 to $800 depending cell size and fabric.

If you contact me or give a little more detail I could see if I can help you out. Even if you want a Hunter Douglas.

Biggest difference between companies like HD and Skandia are that HD is usually an inovator were places like Skandia are copiers. Nothing wrong with being a copier, they just don't have R&D like the big hitters. I've been using both brands for over 5 years and have never had a problem that wasn't corrected or beyond even big name company problems, and OceanView is South Florida's biggest manufacutre.
