| We need new windows (we have old aluminum on wood siding) bad. when it comes to the window technical jargon, I am so clueless. I live in Illinois and am looking for a cost effective, but quality window. Can anyone recommend a good vinyl window that doesn't look cheap. Then I will research for the installer. |

| My short list is Sunrise, Okna, Soft-lite, Gorell and Simonton if you want vinyl. Not sure what you mean by "cost effective". |
