French-style sliding patio doors

Looking for recommendations for good quality french-style sliding patio doors (i.e. fairly high kick plate)...

Most sliders I can find only have a 3 - 5" kick plate, but I really like the look of Marvin's Aluminum Clad/Wood door - but they don't really have the colour I'm looking for...(I still may be convinced though)

Ideas - open to vinyl?

And, can you give me an idea of what to look for in a quality patio door?

Thanks!

Marvin or Kolbe if your looking for Aluminum Clad wood, not really sure of there is a French type slider available in the higher end vinyl but I am certain one of the guys will chime in shortly if there is one available.

Where is the home located?

Milgard made a French Rail slider in vinyl before that was attractive.

I can check the rail height on the Okna door tomorrow AM.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm in southern Ontario. Would love to match a Gentek colour if possible (windows).

Oops, southern-eastern Ontario!

I am out of suggestion for up there.

Sorry about that. I don't know the Canadian offerings that well at all.

Not really related to anything you’ve posted, but may I suggest that you get your French door frosted? It would definitely add more charm and beauty to it!

What are you talking about with the "Frosting"?

Frosting is good on cake and that is about it.

lmao, he is a huge proponent of "frosting", according to him it is capable of everything and anything your house needs!!
