repairing aluminum windows

Hi all! I'm new to the window forum. We need to replace/repair our 25 yr old double pane bronze aluminum windows. My brain is in vinyl window overload. We have been quoted a price of $280 (uninstalled) each for Viewpoint series 6000 & $483 (uninstalled) each for Simonton Prism Platinum. Both windows are double hung. What are your thoughts on these 2 windows? From everything I read, in 20-25 years we may be having to replace windows again. Someone told us there is a process of defogging & resealing aluminum windows at $100 each window. Does anyone have any input about this? Thanks for any help you can provide!!

The best way to repair the seal failures in your windows is to replace the insulated glass. If your aluminum windows have a thermal break then repair may be a more cost effective option then replacing the entire window.

The cheapest repair route would be to drill holes in the IGU and wash them out.

I have used this company before for a customer and they might have a similar technology out in your area.
