Aluminum Windows with Narrow Profile

We are renovating our 50s house in Seattle and will be replacing original aluminum windows with new double (and some triple) pane aluminum windows. (Lots and lots of insulation elsewhere to make up for U values of under .3.) We have two entire walls of big 6 feet by 5 feet windows with a couple smaller casements in the mix for ventilation. These walls face due West, and due North (with no break from storms that sweep over Puget Sound).

We have a quote from Marlin windows (out of Spokane WA).

Our contractor suggested we look at Milgard as well.

An acquaintance had Milgard aluminum windows, and they leaked every storm at the mitered corners. She's had the glass replaced, and had them add more caulk into those corners. Sounds like a pain. The upside is the lifetime warranty on the glass. The Milgard bid is also less. Should I consider this brand of window?

What about Blomberg, might these be windows to look at?
