Sliders installed as single hung

Some old casement windows in our condo were replaced with Jeld Wen vinyl windows, but they used horizontal sliders in a vertical application and they just don't work right. Is there a way to use replacement parts to get it to slide properly vertically? They look fine, but aren't meant to slide vertically.

Sliders do not have springs or counterweights to compensate for the weight of the sash.

Time to purchase the correct windows or turn them 90 degree if they will fit.

There's no way to drain water either. Sliders would also just fill up with water if you turned them 90 degrees.
