I don't think their vinyl line is often utilized..not nearly like their wood lines. I went to a kolbe distributor where I live and they literally had to dig around to find the vinyl window display...it came out completely covered in dust (how embarassing right?). But even covered in dust I thought it was a good looking window. Unfortunately my builders window guy doesn't think much of their west coast distributors so I think they are out for us. I think they look like a fine window if you can find a reliable dealer, but so do many of the other vinyl window brands that are recommended on this forum, that is if you can get them. If you're on the west coast...good luck.

Kolbe while a very good wood window company makes an average at best vinyl window and I would not recommend it, Tell us what area of the country your in and the pros here can steer you towards a vinyl window brand that would be available to you.

I live in St. Louis, MO. So, I think the ones that are considered good in my area are Sunrise and Soft-lite? Are there any others? I 'd sure like to know if there are.

While I love the Kolbe wood, I was underwhelmed by their vinyl window.

Soft-Lite and Sunrise are two of the best in vinyl in my opinion. If HiMark or Okna are out there, try them as well.

I am building a home in Southern California. I am having difficulty finding vinyl window companies that this chat room recommend that have dealers on the west coast. That been said can you recommend a company that you feel can stand head to head with Okna,Soft-lite,Sunrise etc.
