Cost Difference Double Hung vs. Casement

I know casements are more expensive than double hungs, but on average how much more expensive? We're looking at Marvin Integrity (new construction) & the majority of our 30 windows are 3'0" x 5'6". Thanks for any help!

RE: Cost Difference Double Hung vs. Casement

Totally depends on the contractor and the window line.

There are no firm guidelines to make that extrapolation.

Obviously there are more hardware, manufacturing, and design expenses that need to be factored into a casement window.

What a manufacturer and supplier charge for that is completely up to them.

I was just looking at a quote and that size was $350 double hung and $450 casement for Viwinco impact windows (ie a totally different window).

thanks, WOW & david! David, you're a brave man taking on a second personal build so soon after the first one was completed! I'm just hoping I make it through this one!
