Optiview is nice and the half screens do work.

+1. When the screen is pushed up there will be a small gap that doesn't seal as it does when it is down, however it will still block the majority of insects.

I frequently have customers ask me about this.
When I show them the gap with the screen in the up position and then talk about how insects at night are drawn to the screen and crawl up the screen and into the house.

If you want to vent from the top get full screens.

Thanks for the update, half-screens on the Sunrise windows have never been a problem for my customers either.
