Solatube Daylighting (sun

I am strongly considering installing multiple Solatube solar tunnels (Daylighting system) in my home. I want them in all the bathrooms and 2 dark hallways. Does anyone have them in their home and how satisfied are you with them? I am considering the ventilation options for the 3 in the bathrooms. I'm not sure if the Dimmer option is necessary (baffle to control amount of light coming in). Any comments you have about these in your home would be so appreciated. We are not sure whether to put all 5 in at the same time (big discount) or put in 2 and see how we like them.

RE: Solatube Daylighting (sun

We have one 10" Solatube in our kitchen. We got the warm effect lens and the color of the light is great... not cold and blue like some others without lenses. We did not get the vent kit so can't comment on that, but did get the electric light add-on which is great. We will be adding another in a dark hallway this year.

I don't think the baffle would be needed in our installation. Even though it's SW orientation, it must be blocked by the garage roof somewhat because even at its brightest it isn't a huge amount of light. Definitel a help, and definitely worthwhile, but never "too much".
