Vinyl Window Comparisons

I have a choice of Provia VT 800 double hung with triple glaze vs Sunrise Restoration double hungs Ultra U VSS double glaze. The Provia's are priced $1,000.00 less than the Sunrise that are not triple pane. This is a special offer. Which would you choose?? Also looked at Therma Twin and Window World any comments?? We live in Michigan. Thanks for you imput!

I don't know the Provia VT 800 that well. They do make a nice door and I would hope that the same attention to detail would translate to their windows.

The Sunrise Restoration is one of the top 5 windows produced in vinyl today in my opinion.

Did you get an upgrade option on the Sunrise quote for triple pane?

I can but the Provia is already A thousand lower with triple pane because of their trade show deal. If Sunrise is in the top five what are the other 4?? Thanks

If this is the same Model of Provia that I inspected last year it has a large amount of frame that will reduce your glass size. Might want to check on that. The Sunrise is a narrow profile , about 3 to 3 1/4 inches edge of frame to glass. Might want to check into Soft-Lite windows also.

The Provia is solid from what I have seen. I would not say it is an elite performer like the Sunrise and the other products mentioned above, but you could certainly do much worse.
