Eagle windows new in box 10yrs old are they good windows?

I just purchased 8 3by7 double hung Eagle windows that are new in the box from 10yrs ago for 420$ each. They were advertised as Eagle Andersen E-series windows that got decent reviews...but when I saw them they said only Eagle on them and I had to make a decision on the spot so I bought them only to get home and find many people on this forum complaining of a design failure in Eagle windows that doesnt let them shed water. Anyone out there have a good or bad experience with Eagle DH? I could probably still get out of the deal but they seemed like nice windows and I can only afford second hand windows for my addition. Many thanks!

At 10 years old, I would have figured them to be less than $420.

Couple that with the fact that windows are 10 years old and very likely outside the frame warranty before you even put them in unless you get a waiver from Eagle.

Also before Eagle was purchased by Andersen I am pretty certain making them the older style not the allegedly improved models by Andersen.

Hello Millworkman, yes that is my concern that the older style seem to have leaking issues? They are really nice looking and I hope I can use them...i just don't want to rot out my sills!
