Simonton French Swing Patio Doors

Hi:

I am planning to have a Double French Swing patio doors installed in my house. I have been reading forums and I have narrowed it down to Simonton. My opening is 96" x 80" and I was wondering if anybody has any idea what price range are we talking about...

Can anybody recommend any other brands that is within my price range with decent quality?

8' French doors always give me pause. That is a bunch of weight for that type of door.

I agree, you might consider a 6' door with 2 sidelites. Or even a French style sliding door. If you're set on the 8' 2 panel hinged door I'd make sure you understand the warranty.

It should work out just fine as Simonton is a reputable company and they likely wouldn't produce something that doesn't function. That said, if any product will have a problem 5-10 years down the road it's something like this.

Hi guys...I decided to tone it down to a 72 x80 Therma Tru Smooth Star instead...I will just hve to make the opening smaller to fit the door...I was told Simonton and Therma Tru is one company...so I'm hoping the Therma Tru Smooth Star is a good choice. Thank you for all the suggestions.
