We are building an addition onto our existing 1940's Cape Cod house. We are replacing existing windows as well as installing new in addition. Architect has specced Pella ProLine in plans, but all I see are terrible reviews, lawsuits, and problems with these windows! I don't have an unlimited budget, but want quality products and would appreciate some window lines to research in lieu of Pella.

Are you looking for wood, wood clad, vinyl, fiberglass or a composite?
|
Aluminum outside, wood inside is what is on plans, but am willing to consider different materials. That is what existing windows being replaced are.

Marvin Ultimate of the more widely available wood windows. Loewen also makes a very nice wood window.
