Hi guys. I have been reading this forum for a few days and I am more than a little overwhelmed. I am looking for good quality and cost-effective aluminum or wood windows. These will be for my parents home just ouside of NYC in Long Island. I went to a few showrooms and wasnt impressed by what I saw . The pella, andersen, and marvin windows all felt like they were falling apart. But my dad refuses to get vinyl or vinyl clad. Best I can find online are monda and crystal, but their ratings suck. So anyone have any recommendations for alternative companies?

If you didn't like Marvin, you are a tough customer. Kolbe and Kolbe would be the next recommendation in the wood lines.

Loewen is also available in NYC, and I agree with wow. If Marvin is not quality enough ..........
