seal failure

An ef-3 tornado hit our subdivision in June. We have seal failure in many units that wasn't there for sure because we got our windows cleaned for a graduation party in may. The adjuster and engineer state that wind doesn't cause seal failure but the house shook violently with the 150+ mph wind.The engineer talked about the oilcan effect the winds of tornados have. Some windows are being replaces that almost got sucked out of the openings while it also tried to blow the doors in (bent one). Any advise

How old is the home? I've not dealt with such a circumstance so I can't comment on whether the insurance should cover it or not, but it is possible that they are still covered under the manufacturer warranty.

How old is the unit and I would very much disagree with the adjustor. The deflection in the units could easily stress the frame, sash, and IGU which would result seal failure.

Adjusters are there to protect the interests of the insurance company.

Call the window company and see what they say. Get their answer in writing and on letterhead.
