| I think this should start a new thread since we're changing direction and decided on a contractor who can install whatever we choose (not just pushing the one window he does). This is a den in Washington, DC - 36" by 51". He will do a total replacement - not insert.
After much deliberation we decided we want a wood interior (to be painted). Double-hung, vinyl exterior, no grills. So are the Anderson 2800 series okay? This is not a very visible window - from inside or out - but we don't want to decrease the value and appeal of our house - other windows are Pella and Loewen - but they are in more visible spots, with stained-grade wood. If the Anderson 2800 is not good, is there a better moderately priced alternative? Thank you.
