| Based on the recommendations of the pros here on GW I checked out ProVia fiberglass entry doors at a local shop. The quote for a Lehigh Series with sidelights 1/2 glass is a bit over $5,000 installed, with hardware. I read the catalog description of the build quality and all other info, but as impressive as it is I'm hard-pressed to understand why ProVia is almost twice the price of ThermaTru and other lower priced doors.
I can see how the superior build quality may add hundreds more dollars, but what else is it about PV that makes the price so high? Is it the fact each door is custom made or other things the average consumer wouldn't know? |
