New construction window question- help

I received windows with extension jambs attached to the window, however, the wood on the extension jamb is very rough. It came primed white but the quality of the wood seems questionable. What can i do about this?
I have windows with extension jambs from another company and those jambs are nice and smooth and look nice after painted.
These look horrible after being painted. Im a little disappointed.
It wasnt a bad batch, the contractor brought me another extension jamb from the company and its the same poor quality.

Tape off the edge of the window, sand, and re-paint.

Some companies use a lesser material or are not as good about the finishing work.

Nothing that can't be fixed though. Just be careful around the edge of the window.

That is an issue sometimes. Some companies choose to use lower quality wood and that compels the customer to sand and repaint in order to get a smooth finish. Its happened to me and its frustrating.
