| Hello to all. I was wondering if anyone out there has experience with this company, based in the Strip District in Pittsburgh, PA. They are a small local company specializing in new and replacement wood windows and doors while maintaining the historic look. We are looking at replacing over 30 windows in a 1929 home but want to keep the original look while updating the efficiency. I have already priced Marvin and Pella replacement inserts but quite frankly I do not really like the look of either one of them. We do not want to replace the whole window and do not want to lose a lot of glass. Anyone with information about/experience with about this company would be appreciated.
Thanks! Here is their link http://www.alliedmillwork.com/ |

| Chestnut3, what brand of windows did you decide to on? I too am looking for an efficient, long-lasting all wood window. I have it narrowed down to Jeld Wen (Custom Wood), Marvin (douglas fir) and Allside Millwork. Please let me know how your project turned out. Thanks |
