| I am in need of replacing a basement window in a 19th-century farmhouse and would like to install a simple wood window to retain the character of the home. After talking to and visiting the websites of Pella, Andersen, and others I am convinced that I will have to deal with a custom window manufacturer to have the simple window style produced that I want. I am having little luck here in the central Ohio area with custom window producers. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

| Marvin will make a custom wood hopper window. Another option would be their newer ultimate awning. I used this in my basement for the wood interior and I am very happy with them and the price savings over custom. Another company to check would be Parrett. I tried to get a quote from them and they never got back to me. |
