| Two topics that have gotten a lot of attention on this board are (1) how long before a thank-you note is late and (2) whether to send out save-the-date cards or magnets.

Yesterday I got a thank-you note from a bridal couple. It seemed to me that the wedding was quite a while ago (and I sent the gift before the wedding), but I couldn't remember the date or even the month offhand. I wouldn't have given it a second thought ... but right there was the "save the date" magnet they had sent, with, of course, the wedding date -- several months ago -- on it.
I certainly never would have thought of it, but I guess it's something to learn: if you're going to send out magnets with the date that people might hang right where they open their mail, better be extra sure to write promptly!
