Sandals with or without

Hi,
I'm the MOG twice this year. I purchased some strappy sandals with a small heel for the first wedding. Now my question is do I wear hose with these or not? I think I would prefer hose, but am wondering if they would be too slippery with hose on. The dress I'm wearing is not quite floor length, so my feet will definitely be showing.
Your comments will be appreciated.

| The style certainly seems to be bare legs. Wasn't it just last year that Martha Stewart became a "don't" in some magazine for wearing hose with sandals? You can buy footless pantyhose if you'd like the shaping of pantyhose without the look. If you decide to wear hose, I'd buy sheer (and sheer-toe) hose that is as close to your skin color as possible. |

| Good Morning, I am the MOB. I had the same question and the sales person at the shoe store suggested these little comfort pads for the balls of your feet and said they also would help my feet to not slide in my sandals. The panty hose that I found to be the best are called SPANDEX, they have no feet but boy let me tell you they make your legs feel like a million bucks after standing on them all day. |

| Styles today suggest no hose, just a pedicure. If your feet will be seen, make them look great. The idea of the footless hose sounds good, but I can't help but visualize my grannie dancing and her skirt shifting to show her rolled down knee highs. Not, of course saying that you are even remotely resembling my grannie, or that you would wear knee highs rolled down, but think of candid pictures. If wearing the footless hose, how far down do they come? If dancing energetically or not even, just a swirl of skirts, would the end point show? But, the idea of gentle support while on your feet, well, that does sound tempting. Susan |

| The footless hose are just bands that go around your foot. Basicly they just cover the ball of the foot below the toes for about 2 inches. |

Skip the hose.....hose with strappy sandals is a 70's thing. Linda C |

| Ditto! Get a fabulous pedicure with a neutral polish...and go ahead and get a manicure too, it's worth splurging on. |

Your dress style shows that some barefoot style sandal will suit your dress..I have seen many bare foot style sandals in my friends wedding like Barefoot Bridal Sandals - Beach Bride,Barefoot Bridal Sandals - Bridal Elegance,Barefoot Barefoot Bridal Sandals - Champagne Toast,Barefoot Bridal Sandals - Clearly Love,Barefoot Bridal Sandals - Creme De Menthe,Barefoot Bridal Sandals - Crystal Princess etc..So you have many options to select it from. |

| Never wear hose with open toed shoes. If by "strappy" you mean slingbacks (strap across the heel, closed toe), hose are ok (but can be slippery for some people). If you prefer to wear hose then get closed toed shoes. |

| Anybody want to guess how many of those in attendance will have any memory whatsoever of any of this within a month of the event? Jeez! |

| Well, but it isn't just about what anyone else thinks or remembers, if they are even noticing. (I would like to think that for anyone old enough to be a MOG that would matter very little). She wanted to feel like she looked her best, right down to her toes, and feel confident and well dressed on such an important day. I don't think anyone should be ridiculed for that. |

Asolo, Based on your logic people should only do those things that will be remembered a month later? |
