 o
wedding insurance?

I keep reading about getting wedding insurance, but it seems to be very expensive and the chances of using it are slim. I'm not sure its a good investment based on "what if's". Has any of you bought wedding insurance or not, and is it something that I would regret not having?

Yes, it is a good investment. We had to postpone our wedding with four days to go because of a medical emergency. We only lost maybe $1500. It was not a huge deal, but it would have been easier to re-plan it, and less stressful to cancel it, if we'd been able to be reimbursed by the insurance company for the money we lost.

The next time around we bought the insurance of course. It was $100 or $200 I think, of course we didn't use it, but I felt much more relaxed knowing we had it.

Event insurance is well worth the cost, especially if your wedding is anywhere in the tropics, such as Florida or you are planning a cruise wedding. Our wedding was in the height of hurricane season and it was really worth the couple of hundred dollars just for the peace of mind it provided.

So where would I go to get wedding insurance? A regular insurance company or is there one specifically for weddings?
