Also.....if i may add to this...... the flowers that you thought about growing... sunflowers....would be very pretty in a bouquet if they will still be blooming by then...some varieties may give out looking good by then....i never know with mine.. calendula....mine dont do well in arrangements....kind of weedy looking. amaranthus.....have never grown the loves lie bleeding...but have grown celosia for a long time..and they would look good in arrangements. zinnias....they do well in arrangements....and grow good most of the summer....by sept. mine can be fine or....give in to the heat and humidity with problems. dahlias .....oh they are gorgeous in arrangements.....and some bloom mid summer to the first frost.... a draw back is that the tubers or cuttings can get expensive depending on the type,etc. i usually buy mine online....but have got some good ones at the big box stores i plant them after frost is passed ....first week in may usually here. well...ive rattled on.......lol...... have fun and best wishes..... carol

laminate will be lumpy and bumpy with air pockets-there is no way to press them flat enough. And yes it will stick to the flowers and the paper so either one sheet of laminate over the top or one on each side back and front that is slightly biger than the paper. IHMO the better way to protect them is to mount them and put them behind glass.

I really appreciated all the suggestions I got, they were great! And they made me think about the stress of not being able to be sure what flowers would be blooming with our crazy weather!So my daughter chose some simple and inexpensive flowers and ordered through Stop and Shop florists. The football Mums were super easy to arrange, just drop in a vase, the gerberas were a little fussier. But the bride, one sister and I made the arrangements the day before. Her sister tied a small bouquet, no muss little fuss. That lovely room is at Roger Williams Park in Providence RI! Thank you all again! ;)

I love what I call a "country elegant" look - tablecloths to the ground, maybe table toppers or runners in one of the wedding colors. The last wedding like that that I coordinated, the bride used Mason canning jars filled with daisies and greenery for centerpieces. She used semi-sheer light purple toppers over white tablecloths. She tied a purple ribbon around the neck of each jar. I have another country wedding coming up. We will use ivory linens to the ground (round tables). For the centerpieces, she is using large flat sunflowers. A votive candle will be set into the center of the sunflowers. They will be surrounded by grape vine. As you can see, there are numerous things that you can do to reflect the location and not look too country casual.
