Color dilema!

I am wearing an ivory dress, does this mean my linens and chair covers can't be white b/c I heard it will make my dress look like it's dirty! If so, what accents go with ivory linens? And, can the groomsmen wear white shirts?

At my son's recent wedding, the table linens were ivory with colored napkins. My DIL wore an ivory gown and her veil was white. My son's tuxedo shirt, tie and vest were white. Everything was beautiful, nothing looks dirty or dingy. Are you considering an ivory veil?

No problem at all to mix ivory and white. It will all look great, and nothing will look dingy. Just cross this one off your list of worries!

Hi ILoveMod I don't think so? I'm not sure what that would entail but it sounds modernish and this is definitely not that its a woodsy house more in line with the stone cottage side vs the addition. Its all wood, floors walls ceiling. massive stone fireplace, cute and cozy surrounded by trees so greenery out all the large windows. Its odd but charming, much like my family lol. Best part of the house is the yard to be honest. some pictures for you, massive fireplace its tri sided with one part on the outside. wood beam ceilings are nice, stained green in the office with nice views all the rooms have massive windows.

Hi !We are renovating the entire kitchen. It's a beautiful sunroom space with high slanted ceiling, lots of sunshine with full wall of windows on East and South side and one on west side. We went for Ikea Axtad White on the wall and parallel is an island which is Axtad Navy Blue.There is a custom ceiling piece and the range hood cover will match that. It's Pine wood white washed with Chantilly lace BM. Countertops are going to be concrete, and I'm thinking a light grey, as light as we can get it. Backsplash tiles are white as well. Lots of white 😬 So my question is for the walls. I was thinking going Chantilly lace for trims and walls in different sheens, (the ceiling is already painted Chantilly lace) and live with that and decide if I want more colour.But part of me wants to try Revere Pewter on the walls, maybe lightened a bit... The adjacent rooms have Pale oak on the walls and chantilly lace for trims etc..If you can spare your thoughts, it'll be appreciated!

I don't think they'll make your dress look dirty. People said the same thing to me about my ivory dress and DH's white shirt, but we looked fine together. Personally, I prefer linens other than white--ours were celadon.

DD is wearing ivory. We could have had ivory linens, but we like the white instead. It will work just fine.

Some brides actually choose white and ivory or cream as their wedding colors. I just met with a bride who is using white tablecloths and white chair covers with ivor sashes. Her flowers will be cream and she is using ivory/cream candles for her centerpieces.

I thought of you when I was at a bridal shower today. The bride received a sugar bowl in her china pattern. The china is both cream and white, so I took a close look, and it is GORGEOUS. Not just okay, but a really wonderful combination -- in fact, I think an all white-and-cream wedding would be amazing.
