Formal dresses in Atlanta?

Posted by imaginus (My Page) on

Hi - I'm usually a Macy's/Dillard's shopper (no time, no time...) and am looking for a dress to wear to two weddings in the next two weeks as sister/SIL of the bride. Of course, I have an array of dresses purchased over the last few months, but nothing seems right (read: nothing goes with my 4" rhinestone-buckled periwinkle leather pumps;-)

Under $100 and I'm a lumpy 35+ sz12 redhead trying to look svelte:(

Any idea where I can find something in the Duluth/Lawrenceville area this weekend? Macy's/Dillard's is VERY picked-over and I'm going to have to STEAL time!

You might check out this dress at Chadwicks. I think you can have things express shipped. And it's periwinkle.:)

Thanks very much! I found Nordstrom's dress selection online, too - wish I'd known about these before.

I wore the outfit linked below to a wedding in Florida recently. Not technically a dress, but formal. A little over your budget, but smashing on this over-35 size 12.
