| I like country music and pretty sounding things. DF likes very heavy music and yelly sounding things. He likes some older stuff, so do I...there are a few things that we agree on but finding a first dance song is not one of them. I posted a first dance song question before but this question is actually more of an extension to the whole reception. We won't be having a DJ, I'll be making several discs for music. Does anyone have suggestions of some songs that might be played that everyone will like but will still keep DF happy (he's pretty much going to have to suffer for the most part but I thought if I can come up with a few songs that would make him happy it would be nice)?
Also...he keeps suggesting Led Zepplin for a first dance song...if anyone has ideas of a love song by a rock artist it would be greatly appreciated. I keep pusihng for Someone Like You by Van Morrison. |

| Thanks Jenny. I'll keep that list, I hadn't thought of a lot of those. I noticed that you don't have an artist for When You Say Nothing At All, is that because you don't know who sings it or because you can't decide who to use? Just in case you don't know who sings it I thought I'd mention that Keith Whitley, Alison Krauss and Ronan Keating all sing it and my fave version is Ronan, followed by Alison. And when I say rock I mean kind of 70's or 80's. He likes Led Zepplin, the Doors...artists like that was what I meant. He also likes 80's heavy metal bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest (which will NOT be happening at my wedding). We agree on bands like the Tragically hip (I think they're Canadian so I'm not sure if you've heard of them) and Green Day. Probably his favorite slow song is Good Riddance (I hope you've had the time of your life) by Green Day. |

| Our first dance song was "Me and You" by Kenny Chesney. It is one of our favorite songs. Our last dance was "Forever and Ever Amen" by Randy Travis. |

| :0D Those are great songs. I LOVE country music. DF is adamant that our first dance NOT be country...but I'll be making sure that many others will be ;) |
