Well, clocks or paper, hm? What about a watch? Or for paper, how about tickets to an event or show? Memory album with the first page one of your wedding photo (naturally, if you're into scrapbooking, you'll continue this ;-). A new release book, or one for his hobby, or a vintage one? A beautiful hand-made card (paper, also), would be a nice addition...
