If you are sure that all your seeds have germinated, you can cut back on the watering. I would probably do twice a day for a few days and then once a day for a week or so, morning or midday. The once a day waterings should be longer in duration than what you were doing for the 2 and 3 times a day waterings. Basically you are gradually cutting back to get to the one day a week deep watering. Your grass will tell you if it needs more water by it's appearance, just keep an eye on it.

I doubt very much that the dill is the problem. IMO opinion most of the 'companion plant' pronouncements are highly suspect apart from a small number of genuinely allelopathic species. I think the key might be in your words 'all other plants are fine, so not a watering issue.' Cucumbers and peppers have different water requirements so the assumption that because one lot of plants is doing well there isn't watering issue is erroneous. Check the water needs for each of your crops individually and give them water accordingly. Don't treat them all the same. Good luck. Thats a great bunch of seeds ya received Mary Ellen, way to go BusyLizzy! Marianne have you heard from Sonja? I have emailed her letting her know that I sent her goodie package. I also emailed her just to see if everything was going ok. Ya'll keep Happy in your thoughts and prayers, I don't know her but I gather that she is going through a tough time also and needs some friends. Ok NOW...... If any of ya'll haven't seen ma first bloom from in MNF's My Silly Valentine (where I posted pics of what I now KNOW is a daffy) I posted pics of "her" from this morning when she first started to open up and bloom until this... (is ya have seen the pic then I am sorry but I am tickled about it!!!) My First Bulb bloom EVER not to mention this Spring (shhh we don't know its still winter here)

mantis_oh and Julia, I have a hill to the west of where I live and it tends to divert the rain to toward Julia's direction and to the south where the out-laws oops, in-laws live. It was certainly beneficial three years ago when a tornado came through and it was diverted south of my location. There are many nights I can see the lighting north of my area and look at the radar and Julia is getting the rain.
