I haven't had one in a while, but mine would start blooming around mid summer till fall..I think it's normal for flowers to fade, and new to set in..Toni

Oh Wendy - How awful!! From what I understand, the Bridal Veil Spirea blooms in the early part of the season, and so blooms on year old wood. If that's the case, then I feel for you. They are such pretty shrubs. Farfaraway - You are not off key in suggesting that weeds are prefered by bunnies. My DM has gorgeous gardens. Surrounding these gardens are lots of Dandelions. At first glance, when you see the wild rabbits, it looks like they are heading straight for her gardens, but they always stop at the edges and eat away at the dandelions and never go in. The grandkids love to see them! They found the entrance to the burrows last year and now will sit patiently at a distance to see them come out on Sunday mornings in the summer. And, yes, everyone, they do make good stews and meat pies!

Other than shortening and attaching it to the comb, the veil is done! Huzzah!!! The beading consists of a wide variety of stuff, but I coordinated it with each flower being beaded in the same way regardless of where it occurred on the veil. I used paillets, rocailles, seed beads, bugle beads, czech crystal, swarovski crystal, individually mounted rhinestones, sequins, some jewelry baubles, a few pearls and hand embroidery in silver thread. Now I've got to start on my own dress for the wedding....

Thank you so much...your kind words are most appreciated! I've been doing alterations on clothing I've purchased for our upcoming vacation, but it just isn't as much fun as playing with all the bling on the veil.... I'll have to see if I can dig up another bride! :)
