Some people are so cruel ...
Comments (39)And meet... Bobby Ray! Anita named him. "Bobby Ray! Git me a beer, boy!" It all has a sweet ring to it, hollered out the back window: "Rye! Omie! Fern! Bobby Ray! Supper!!" The kitty room is essentially a closet off the mudroom out back. A kitty flap opens to it from a kitchen cupboard, and a cupboard door opens to it from the mudroom, where I pass in the food and water. A big door opens to it from the garage, where I get in to clean out the litter boxes. It's full of sheepskin padded shelves on different levels, a 5-foot cedar log to scratch and climb, a hanging basket, various strings and dangly toys, and best of all, a screened window facing the back porch, yard and pond beyond. It's where they are safe from dogs when humans leave the house. Yes, the kitty room was built, uh, a year, before the kitties arrived. It's been 20 years since I had kitties. I was worried. I've been waiting for these kitties for a while now. :)...See MoreIs an all day muzzle cruel? What would be better?
Comments (4)I agree with a basket muzzle, but she can still eat plenty of stuff with it on so it won't be a total solution. And definitely don't let her run around muzzled as Cynthia said, and also because some dogs can take exception to a muzzled dog for some reason and she could get hurt. I think supervision will be the key for this one, maybe you can teach her to carry something else in her mouth like a toy or a bumper? When you catch her chewing on an inappropriate item just replace it with the item you want her to carry and praise. It's a tough situation cause this is literally life threatening to her, never mind expensive for you. Can she be inside of an exercise pen in DH's shop or in a large crate? That way she can still be included in the activities but not hurt herself. Good luck!...See MoreI Cannot Help Myself---Have to Brag on my DIL
Comments (31)Thanks gldnfan. I do try to find the best in people I know Bronwynsmom from here and I don't think she intentionally would do that to another member that was proud of a family member. She probably didn't recognize the OPs name and thought is was yet again just another spammer. I'm sure next time she'll think to check how long an OPs been a member before assuming, as I said above, it's just another spammer. It's been crazy around here lately and with the economy will most likely get worse. The spamming, I mean. Mabye we should have some sort of code we change often so to add to our posts similar to this one so real members will know it's just good old fashioned bragging. LOL. Basically all I said is a ditto of Squirrel. Should have read that first. Ha!...See MoreUpdate on my DIL saga
Comments (53)FD, I agree. She can't see that far into the future. I can. My son is on deployment for over a year. He will leave in a week and be gone until next January, he gets no more leaves. If he files for divorce now, he won't be here to proceed and she may get whatever she asks for.... ie. custody. Since only parents have rights, I am a grandparent and unless the court finds her unfit, she would automatically get custody. It isn't likely that would happen, she doesn't want the baby full time. She wants money. He will continue to pay the rent because he is on the lease, he HAS to pay it. The utilities & a little cash is to sweeten the deal for her so she won't fight to get the baby all the time. She has no excuses now.. she can go party or she can go work. She can't say she has no babysitter. She can't say she won't make enough to survive because her 'living' expenses are paid. She can't say the reason she can't take the baby is because her house is not suitable.. lol, she actually tried to say that because her cable was turned off that if he didn't pay to get it turned back on, then her house would not be suitable for their son to live there because she NEEDS television service so the baby can watch cartoons while she washes dishes, etc. THAT's her logic. He plans to file for divorce when he returns from his deployment. At that point, he will have no problem getting full custody based on the agreement she signed and her history of how much (or should I say little) she see's her son while DS is gone. When he files for divorce, then he will no longer support her. But if he refuses to support her now, she will fight to get the baby because that provides an income to her and it is more likely than not, that CPS will end up removing the baby from her before he gets back and there is no guarantee that I will be allowed to have him if that happens... he could end up in foster care and that makes it worth him paying the bills for now. IMHO....See Morescarlett2001
