Great song for first dance

Hey just wanted to share this wonderful song I found that would be great for the couple's first dance, or even to incorporate into the ceremony. It does have a little religious bent to it, so if that's not for you, then you probably wouldn't like it. It's called Til the End of Time by Steve Green.

RE: Great song for first dance

Here's another idea - I'm gonna use - "Welcome To My World" by Jim Reeves - easy to dance to for grooms that hate to dance (like mine)

Welcome to my world
Won't you come on in
Miracles I guess
Still happen now and then
Step into my heart
Leave your cares behind
Welcome to my world
Built with you in mind
Knock and the door will open
Seek and you will find
Ask and you'll be given
The key to this world of mine
I'll be waiting here
With my arms unfurled
Waiting just for you
Welcome to my world

Soooo pretty!

RE: Great song for first dance

my DH and I thought that the first dance should really spring from our own relationship somehow. We didn't have an "our song," so I asked DH to pick one that he liked, that meant something to him somehow.

he picked Bruce Springsteen's, "All the Heaven Will Allow." It made me cry.

Then the band his dad hired (good for Yugoslavian ballroom dancing, lousy lousy for all the rock 'n' roll type stuff) BUTCHERED it! It was awful to dance to. I was so MAD!

Then, we saw the video someone had taken, a few weeks later, and I laughed SO hard I literally fell out of my chair onto the floor. My stomach was cramping up so hard with laughing, I couldn't straighten up.
