For a change try the following:

OAT MIXTURE using the following in equal amounts or box of this and box of that.

Old Fashion Oats
Oat Bran
Wheat Bran
Soy Granules (toasted kind, Fern brand or other)

After cooked, add: 2 T. ground flaxseed
2 T. wheat germ

Add yogurt before serving if desired, makes mixture creamy.
I use Blue Bunny Carb Freedom 5g.carb or Dannon Carb Control 3g carb.

Mix well, store in containers with lids.

TO COOK: use 2 tablespoons oat mixture and 2/3 cup water.
Cook in microwave until mixture rolls over but not out of the bowl.

NOTE: The oat mixture is very satisfying. This works well for me, I can eat this for breakfast and my blood sugar will be lower in 2 hrs. than it was fasting. I am early stage diabetic, not on meds.

May also add flaxseed to oatmeal for fiber.
May also add handful raisins, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon; or 1/2 tsp. organic maple syrup.

Another breakfast idea is low-fat or fat-free yogurt with fresh fruits such as blueberries or strawberries. Can be dairy or soy yogurt.
