| For a change try the following:
OAT MIXTURE using the following in equal amounts or box of this and box of that. Old Fashion Oats
After cooked, add: 2 T. ground flaxseed
Add yogurt before serving if desired, makes mixture creamy.
Mix well, store in containers with lids. TO COOK: use 2 tablespoons oat mixture and 2/3 cup water.
NOTE: The oat mixture is very satisfying. This works well for me, I can eat this for breakfast and my blood sugar will be lower in 2 hrs. than it was fasting. I am early stage diabetic, not on meds. |

| Mini Ravindran May also add flaxseed to oatmeal for fiber. Another breakfast idea is low-fat or fat-free yogurt with fresh fruits such as blueberries or strawberries. Can be dairy or soy yogurt. Mini Ravindran |
