LOOKING for: Receipe for Veggieburger

Posted by Petra1 (My Page) on

I am trying to find a good receipe for Veggieburger and Gardenburger since I am tired of paying 1.--per burger, just makes no sense to me (especially thinking how much it costs to produce a beefburger and for what they sell, grgrgr).
So anybody have some good ones???

RE: LOOKING for: Receipe for Veggieburger

Here is a recipe for a veggie burger:

Bread Potato Burger
2-3 rolls (or old bread and rolls)
1 stripp veggie bacon
1/2 - 3/4 cup soymilk
2 T veggie oil
1/2 - 3/4 cup potato flakes
seasoning: salt, pepper, garlic powder
2 T veggie oil for frying

In bowl tore rolls and/or bread into small chanks. Tore or slice veggie bacon and add. Pour soymilk and veggie oil in bowl. Messure out potato flakes. Add seasoning. With fingers knead bread/roll chanks adding potato flakes as needed while still kneading. Dough should be soft but stick well together. Form balls then flatten into burgers.
Fry in pan with 2 T veggie oil first side, turn and fry other side until brown.

Makes between 5 and 7 burgers
Serve warm or cold with e.g. rice and greens

Bon appetit!
