RECIPE: soy milk (from soy beans)

SOY MILK (FROM SOY BEANS)
SOY MILK AND BASE


SOY MILK (FROM SOY BEANS)

1 cup soybeans
3 cups water
5 to 6 cups warm water
pinch of salt
1 Tbsp. honey

Soak 1 cup soybeans in 3 cups water for 24 to 48 hours. Pour off water
in which beans have been soaked. Grind beans until fine. Add 5 to 6 cups
warm water and boil for 30 minutes. Strain add pinch of salt and 1 Tbsp.
honey. This milk can be used exactly the same as cows milk. . Don't use
soybeans that are used as seed, as they have been sprayed. Use the ones
that are harvested out of the field.

or, another approach;

SOY MILK AND BASE

2 cup water
1 cup soy flour
1 tsp. sea salt (or regular)

Blend or stir until smooth. (After cooking, base should be custard like.)
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes (stir after 20). Or crock pot on low for
3-4 hours stirring. May be frozen.

MILK:
1/2 cup soy base
1/2 cup water (plus 4 c.)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. sweetener
1/4 tsp. sea salt (or regular)
1/3 cup cashews

Blend all but 4 cups of water until smooth. Add water. Chill and shake
before serving.
