Oriental Coleslaw

Napa cabbage- large head, chopped fine
5 green onions
Mix one day ahead and refrigerate in Ziploc bag.

2 pkg. Ramen noodles
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1 stick margarine
Small package slivered almonds

Melt margarine and break up noodles, brown along with sesame seeds and almonds.

Dressing: 1 cup oil
2 tsp. Soy sauce
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar

Mix one day ahead in blender. Put dressing on shortly before serving. Toss well.

Zesty Coleslaw
Yield: 8 servings

8 cups coarsely shredded cabbage (about 2 lbs.)
1 cup grated carrot

Dressing:
1/2 cup nonfat or reduced-fat mayonnaise
2 tbsp. white wine vinegar
2 tbsp. pineapple JUICE
3 tbsp. spicy mustard
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper

Combine the cabbage and carrot in a large bowl, and toss to mix well. Combine the dressing ingredients in a small bowl, and stir to mix well. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture, and toss to mix. Cover the salad and chill for several hours or overnight before serving.

This is the slaw we eat all the time..

1 head of cabage(2-3lb.) chopped fine
1/2 carrot chopped fine
1 tblsp. Sugar
1 tblsp. Vlasic sweet pickle relish
2-3 tblsp. Miracle Whip, if to dry add a little more..
mix all then cool in fridge..
You can add Grated Apple or a small can of crushed Pineapple for a change in taste..
