| If you or anyone out there is interested, here's a good breakfast cereal recipe: Preheat over to 325 You will need: 3Tblsp butter 1.5-2 C peeled diced winter squash 2.75 C milk (or Soy, Rice, etc. milk) 1C millet pinch of salt spoonful of honey Melt the butter in an oven safe casserole. Saute the squash until slightly soft, 5-6 minutes. Add the milk, bring to a boil. Toast the millet in a pan over med-hi heat until golden (5 min., and remember to stir it!)Add to squash. Add salt and honey and stir until dissolved. Reduce heat to low, cover, & cook until liquid is almost absorbed - 15-20 min (more or less, usually more). Place covered cassarole in oven and bake until millet is dry,25-30 minutes. This is a really tasty breakfast but it does take time (an hour or so). But its definitely worth it. |
