How does one make pita chips?

to feed four i use about 2-3 pitas.

preheat oven to 400. line baking sheets with parchment paper if you have it - if not lightly oil.

cut pitas into sixths and separate. place in ziploc bag and add enough oil to coat each triangle (i like extra virgin oilve oil) add seasonings to your liking (salt, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper) sometimes i use the seasonings that come in packets to make ranch dressing or guacamole. bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown, turning triangles over midway.

homemade pita chips are great with hummus or guacamole!

I separate the pitas and put on parchment....but spray them with olive oil and sprinkle with dill weed or another choice of seasoning....and toast at 300 degrees until lightly browned and crisp. It takes about 20 minutes or more for them to get crisp.
