Posted by grampas_recipes (My Page) on

I was given a recipe for IRISH STEW from a friend in Belfast, One of the ingred's is a veggie called a 'swede'. I have no idea what this is? Has anyone heard of this? My friend says it could be substituted with a parsnip, but it won't taste as good, to me, taste is important. Can anybody help me? Thanks
