LOOKING for: Using agar agar instead of gelatin

Does anyone have a conversion for gelatin to agar agar. I need to know the quantity to use ie one sachet of gelatin (or in grams or ounces) equals how much agar agar - or how to make a simple fruit jelly using agar agar

Hi Bruce,

Are you using agar agar bars or the long stringy ones? If you are using the bars, it's one bar to 3 cups of water. If you want to make the gelatin a little softer, you can use more water. Hope this helps.
